چکیده

The article deals with the energy and exergy performance analyses of supercritical carbon dioxide recompression Brayton cycle (S-CO2 RBC). This is known to offer maximum efficiency when operating near critical point CO2, which possible in low ambient temperature environment but not warm or hot conditions. CO2-C7H8 binary mixture used improve thermodynamic for warmer percentage C7H8 selected according cycle’s minimum temperature, assumed 50oC. When using mixture, analysis shows that thermal improved by nearly14.5% 8% turbine inlet temperatures 350oC 400oC, respectively. Moreover, exergetic reveals better RBC mixture.

Thermodynamic Analysis of an Irreversible Maisotsenko Reciprocating Brayton Cycle

An irreversible Maisotsenko reciprocating Brayton cycle (MRBC) model is established using the finite time thermodynamic (FTT) theory and taking the heat transfer loss (HTL), piston friction loss (PFL), and internal irreversible losses (IILs) into consideration in this paper. A calculation flowchart of the power output (P) and efficiency (η) of the cycle is provided, and the effects of the mass ...

Thermodynamic Modeling for Open Combined Regenerative Brayton and Inverse Brayton Cycles with Regeneration before the Inverse Cycle

A thermodynamic model of an open combined regenerative Brayton and inverse Brayton cycles with regeneration before the inverse cycle is established in this paper by using thermodynamic optimization theory. The flow processes of the working fluid with the pressure drops and the size constraint of the real power plant are modeled. There are 13 flow resistances encountered by the working fluid str...

Thermodynamic Properties of Binary Mixture for Power Generation Systems

In Kalina power generation as well as vapor absorption and refrigeration systems ammonia-water mixture has been used as working fluids. Unlike for pure components, binary mixtures additionally need mixture concentration to solve thermodynamic properties. A flowchart is developed to understand the computations of the properties. The thermodynamic properties for ammonia-water mixture have been ge...
